	HUNGER IS HERE AND SET TO EXPAND

When you have a decent place to live, a nice job, food to eat and clean water to drink every day, poverty may not be something you think about. But for billions of people across the globe, poverty is a constant companion.

2.8 billion people survive on less than US$2 a day.

1.1 billion live in extreme poverty, ( less than US$1 a day).

Some 840 million go to bed hungry each night.


	EIGHT GOALS


		There are eight simple goals that the international community aims to achieve by 2015. They include: eradicating extreme poverty and hunger; achieving universal primary education; promoting gender equality and empowering women; reducing child mortality; improving maternal health; combating HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases; ensuring environmental sustainability. These are worthy ideals and goals for the Governments to achieve. But we all need to play our part. We can’t leave it to the Governments. They will miss targets.

	WE NEED TO TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY

		We all need to play our part, and not try to put all the blame on Governments. Raising awareness is an important part of the fight against global poverty, so if you are reading this you have a part to play. We simply cannot exist in this world and not share our resources with those less fortunate. There are numerous ways to get involved and help. Become informed about issues related to poverty; Donate some of your money and time or even both. On this site and similar ones we are promoting the principal.”GIVE A GRAIN” There are things that everyone . without exception, can do without it costing a penny. Please take the time to understand this concept and spread the word. POVERTY is everywhere, even in the wealthiest countries there are pockets of poverty.

	GET INVOLVED

		Look around. Get involved. Together we can achieve a lot. The problems are huge but... LITTLE BY LITTLE YOU CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS ......... GRAIN BY GRAIN YOU CAN START TO FEED THE WORLD PLEASE GIVE YOUR GRAIN... for the following reasons things will get worse before they get better. Energy, Soil Erosion, Inneficient Farming, Expensive Farming, Climate Change, and last but not least we have War. Over the next few weeks and months we will demonstrate how these will increase hunger. Before that I want to start preparing for our own war...... A War against Hunger, Poverty and Disease .Join us..... That’s why we need YOUR GRAIN. Watch the Projects grow.
